Simplifying Fair Energy Pricing
Our team has over 12 years experience within the UK energy industry handling circa 150GWh of energy procurement. We are familiar with the breakdown of UK energy charges and hold existing connections with stakeholders. Our positioning, combined with our tech capabilities, enables us to help energy consumers understand, control and adapt to changing energy costs.
During the UK energy crisis, which originally started in 2021 but further escalated in 2022, members of our team attended events and wrote to Ofgem and Government with case studies to support the protection of businesses within the non-domestic market through the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS), Energy Bill Discount Scheme (EBDS) and Qualifying Heat Supplier (QHS) EBDS.
We are now preparing a case for Ofgem to consider updating certain codes under Schedule 32: Residual Charging Bands within the Distribution Connection and Use of System Agreement (DCUSA) to provide greater protection for energy consumers who are paying more than they should to cover the upcoming costs of building the UK energy infrastructure. This goes in hand with our HH Capacity Level Reduction service.
